Pink Pencil Experiment, 12" x 12", 2010

This art quilt is part of the second series of quilts from the 12x12 Art Quilt Collaborative. We're calling this series "Colorplay." Each set of quilts is inspired by a color, a palette or the colors in a particular image. I don't usually use pink in my work, but this was a delightful experiment in incorporating several pink fabrics and even a surprising embellishment: an actual pink pencil!
