Encrusted Cobblestones II, 38" x 9", 2007

This piece was developed as a project for the book Creative Quilting with Beads. Some of my favorite “beads” aren’t even beads. I’ve found several wonderful embellishments at the hardware store. This quilt includes washers in several shapes, sizes and colors. As I added the embellishments, I imagined what shiny, mysterious treasures might be found walking along a mossy cobblestone path.
